Spirit of Samhain
~ In Celebration of Samhain, November 1st ~

The feminine spirit of Samhain stands before a symbolic
doorway representing the passing of  summer, and
beginning of the dark season. She bows her head in prayer
honoring those who have passed on as a raven waits 
to carry their spirits through the thin veil between this
world and the next that lifts at this most magickal time of
year. She clutches a small brass cauldron with a ceremonial
flame, whose smoke whispers of new beginnings and
the start of a new cycle. An apple represents a
customary offer from the autumn harvest  just passed.
